Supporting Mental Health and Well-Being at Slade Primary

At Slade Primary, we believe that good mental health and well-being are the foundations for children to thrive—both in their learning and in their personal development. When children feel safe, supported, and emotionally secure, they are more confident, resilient, and ready to learn.

We also understand that the well-being of adults in our school community—staff, parents, and carers—is just as important. That’s why we are committed to creating a positive, caring environment where everyone feels valued and supported. We encourage open communication, promote a healthy balance between work and home life, and offer support when it’s needed. By looking after each other, we can better support the children in our care.

Mental health and well-being are not just things we talk about—they are part of everything we do. From nurturing strong, positive relationships to providing targeted support when needed, we work together to ensure everyone in our school community has the chance to flourish. At Slade, well-being is not just a priority—it’s at the heart of who we are.
